Our story began in 2022, with the belief that animals, too, should be able to “speak”; in 2023 we became a company, EQUHEALTH. We work with knowledge that reaches from animal health to technology, from software to hardware.
Our aim is to notice problems early through innovative projects, and to save animal owners time.

Hello, I’m Can Zeytünlü. I graduated from the Department of Environmental Engineering at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, and I am the founder of EQUHEALTH.
The most fundamental problem we solve in the field is “late intervention”. Because I come from a family that has worked with livestock for generations, I grew up experiencing first-hand the heavy economic and operational losses that follow when health risks are noticed too late. At EQUHEALTH, we are turning the traditional approach, which acts only once problems become visible to the eye, into a proactive and predictive system.
The answer to the problem I saw in the field lay not in experience alone, but in science. That realisation drew me closer to academia.
The greatest gift of my university years was the chance to work alongside professors who inspired me. My greatest fortune there, and the turning point of my life, was meeting my mentor, Prof. Dr. Nüket Sivri. Working with her and walking the same path opened my eyes to life and to my profession. My entrepreneurial journey, too, began with the inspiration I drew from her.
We set out on this path driven to create science-based, technology-focused solutions, and our hearts still beat for science and technology.

- 2022
The journey began
We began working on the idea of equlaq under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Nüket Sivri.
- 2023
EQUHEALTH founded
We were among the winners of BiGG 2023-1; on 29 December we founded our company.
- 2024
TÜBİTAK BiGG Fund became our shareholder
Our Seal of Excellence was formally notified and the investment was officially made.
- 2025
Awards and Europe
We received the Agri Plus award and reached the final of the CASCADE Guardians programme.
- 2026
A second seal and the portal
With BiGG+ we received our second seal; we were named Student Startup of the Year; the new version of the equlaq portal went live.

In TÜBİTAK BiGG 2023-1, we were one of 153 ventures awarded the seal out of 2,885 applications; in the BiGG+ 2025/1 call, we received our second seal.
